After interviewing several doulas, my partner and I chose to work with Lindsay for the birth of our first child for so many reasons: her sense of sisterhood; her firsthand and secondhand experience with a variety of uncomplicated and complicated births; her certification in placenta encapsulation; her low waste knowledge and natural practices; her thoroughness and responsiveness; her familiarity with my birth preferences; and her passion for the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences. Lindsay didn’t just show up and support me and my partner during the birth of my son, she went above and beyond with organized folders full of valuable information for pregnancy through postpartum, a postpartum comfort package, a detailed birth debriefing ( because naturally my memory was blurred!) spending extra time with us during our postpartum visits, and always being quick to respond to calls, and texts when I would worry or feel lost. Thanks to Lindsay, I stuck to my birth preferences and had an intense but beautiful and low-stress birth experience. I can’t recommend Lindsay enough!

Lindsay is incredible. She was honestly a godsend during labor and delivery. From the little things like setting up the room nicely and making sure we always had water and snacks, to the big things like getting me into different positions to help with contractions and pushing, and being a calm, knowledgeable voice for us through stressful moments. It is clear she not only has a wealth of experience, but is passionate and caring. I highly recommend having Lindsay on your team as you bring your little one into the world

We worked with Lindsay Scott and our experience could not have been better. As first-time parents we could trust her to guide us and orient us in the kindest way while being very professional and efficient. In our few meetings the birth plan and helpful advice lead to knowing exactly what to do when the time came.
In the middle of the night when labor started, Lindsay came immediately when we needed her. Our beautiful daughter arrived a few hours later. We know the choice to work with her made our labor a safer and easier process.

When my water broke a week out from my due date, Lindsay was our very first call that afternoon. From that point on, for the next 35(!) hours, she was a constant calming, positive and experienced presence and teammate during my labor and the birth of our son. After laboring through the early stages with her support via phone, Lindsay came in as things started to pick up and immediately knew what to do. We soon made the decision to move to the bath, which I had previously looked at with skepticism as it looked stark and uninviting - Lindsay came in and transformed the entire space, including beautiful lighting, warmed blankets and a fresh popsicle. I remember being overcome with emotion and gratitude. As the hours passed, I had to make a difficult decision that deviated from my original plan. I could not have asked for a better support than Lindsay. She reassured me that I could trust my intuition, that there was no right or wrong, and that she would be there every step of the way. Lindsay was key in translating the medical jargon to layman’s terms for us and allowing us to make the best, informed decisions for us and our baby. When it turned to day three and we approached the time to push, I remember asking Lindsay “I am so tired, can I do this?” Lindsay just gave me a resounding “yes, you can do this”, like there wasn’t even a question. I can’t explain how much I needed to hear this at that point in time. It powered me through the next hour of pushing - a process to which Lindsay was absolutely vital. She worked seamlessly with L&D nurse, our OB, my husband, and my mental and physical state. We welcomed our son at 2:36am that day, and we couldn’t imagine getting through the most grueling and rewarding experience of our lives without her.
